  1. Click “Add Sources”: Inside your notebook, find and click the “Add Sources” button. Add Sources to NotebookLM
  2. Choose Your Files: Upload files from your computer (like PDFs or Notes) or grab them from Google Drive. You can even add a link to a website or Youtube video. Pick your fave.

      • Textbook Chapters

    • “Summarize this for 8th graders?”
    • “Main themes of this chapter?”
    • “5 vocab words from this text?”
    • “3 discussion questions?”

  1. Review & Tweak: NotebookLM answers ASAP. Read them over. Helpful? Needs a little polish? Remember, AI is YOUR tool. Edit the suggestions to match your style and students. Review answers from NotebookLM
  1. Add Notes: In the Notes panel add your own notes or use the built-in options like Study Guide, Briefing Doc, FAQs and Timeline.Add Notes to Notebook

NotebookLM is also your organization pal! The “Notes Panel” is more than just Q&A. It’s your digital lesson plan HQ.

  1. Create “Notes” for Key Info: As you work, save important stuff as “Notes” in the panel. Just tap the “+” button next to anything you want to keep. 
  2. Section Your Notes: Group notes into sections like: “Learning Objectives,” “Activities,” “Materials,” “Assessment.” Structure = success! Drag and drop to create sections. 
  3. Export & Go!: Lesson plan outlined in “Notes Panel”? Export time! Click the three dots (…) in the “Notes Panel,” choose “Export,” and pick Google Doc (or your fave format). BAM! Lesson plan draft ready!
